Our chocolate starts with a grandmother's recipe, passed down through generations of Diego’s Tz'utujil (tzoo-to-HEEL) Mayan family. We honor this tradition by hand-crafting and packaging each chocolate roll in Guatemala, where the journey from cacao bean to dark chocolate happens entirely in one place.
While the world rushes toward automation, Diego preserves something precious. Each creation reflects hours of careful work by farmers and cacao artisans, who transform raw cacao into soft, fine flavor chocolate.

From Cattle to Cacao
When you protect a forest, you protect a future. Our partners at Kampura grow cacao in harmony with Guatemala's native ecosystem, preserving biodiversity while allowing us to produce chocolate of uncommon quality. It's a difference you can taste.
A former cattle ranch, Kampura uses agroforestry techniques. Such cacao forests are alive with possibility. Birds nest above, orchids bloom below, and between them grows the cacao that becomes your chocolate. Like Diego’s they also create important jobs in a struggling economy.
This complex ecosystem protects more than wildlife. It also upholds our individual efforts to consume consciously.
