Product Description

When Diego first paired Alta Verapaz cardamom with our chocolate 30 years ago, he knew he'd discovered something extraordinary. Today, this innovative combination has become our most popular chocolate roll, combining our signature 75% dark chocolate (some milk) with whole pods of Guatemala's finest cardamom.

Each hand-rolled chocolate delivers an exciting textural journey – smooth dark chocolate gives way to surprising bursts of floral spice when you encounter the cardamom pods.

We source our cardamom from Alta Verapaz, Guatemala's agricultural heart, ensuring the highest quality in every roll.

Did you know that Guatemala is the biggest producer of cardamom in the world?

Made at origin on the shores of Guatemala's Lake Atitlan, these rolls showcase both tradition and innovation. Each purchase supports our indigenous artisans and farmers, preserving chocolate-making at origin while protecting the forests where our ingredients grow.

Diego's chocolate is intensely flavored with cardamom. It also is not a waxy stiff bar, but richly combined with all the ingredients making it softer but not gooey. I could not eat it plain, except in tiny nibbles. I like cutting thin discs into my hot milk to make hot chocolate. That was great.

Very understated chocolate with cardamom which I love. Not too sweet, but just enough!
